Another 1st from NSI! The Wing Ding (Free) Spreader Bar replaces your overkill metal spreader bar with a smaller and smoother hook that will keep your board and pads ding free. The smaller profile and rounded tip slides over your pads and is much less likely to damage your board when popping up or during an unexpected spill.
The 2″ wide version of NSI’s popular Wing Ding (Free) Hook used on their Minimalist Harnesses but adaptable to your wind or kite harness. Updated design with increased depth and size of the hook keeps your harness line in even if your wrist leash gets caught up in it. Incorporates a more smoothed over edge where the harness line slides and at the webbing slot to allow for easier folding over when paddling and less chance of spearing your board during a crash. If sliding the hook isnt your thing this setup will easily fold over itself and lay flat while lying on your board.
3 sizes to choose from: 8″, 10″ and 12″ lengths. We suggest going with the longest size that will fit your harness. Adjust your straps to near fully widened and measure the distance between each side. Allow some adjustment for additional tightening after mounting the spreader bar. Select the largest size you can without choosing a harness wider than your measurement. For example: an 11″ distance between spreader bar hook-ups on the harness will allow for a 10″ spreader bar but not a 12″.Make sure to check your harness to see if this style of attachment will work for you. If you have webbing loops or metal hooks it should work with your setup. If your harness uses ratching straps or cam locks to secure the spreader bar you will need to do additional fabrication or it may not work.
