In triathlons, transitions are crucial, often seen as the fourth discipline. The Fizik Transiro Hydra Aeroweave Carbon Tri Shoes are designed to meet the needs of top athletes. A single Velcro strap allows for swift, hassle-free transitions, providing the necessary foot support for optimal performance.
The Aeroweave upper offers excellent breathability. This second-generation fabric combines nylon fibres with thermoplastic polymers, resulting in a lighter shoe that maintains its strength. The softer upper is ideal for those who prefer cycling without socks.
The R2 outsole, made from engineered carbon fibre, is both lightweight and stiff, with a stiffness index of 10. This makes it the most responsive outsole in the Fizik range. The design includes a wide vent inlet and deep channels for airflow, helping to regulate temperature. The cleat position is slightly further back, improving pedalling efficiency and reducing knee strain, perfect for aggressive aero positions.
