Pedal Shape: The design features a slimmed-down spindle housing that nearly eliminates bulging, resulting in a more concave and secure feel without sacrificing strength.
Platform Size: Available in two sizesSmall (105 x 100mm) and Large (115 x 110mm)to meet the needs of all riders. While platform size is largely based on personal preference, there is a rough correlation to shoe size. The previous Chester pedals were offered in one size (110 x 101mm).
Pin Placement and Quantity: The updated Chester pedals now include nine metal pins and two molded plastic pins per side, totalling 11 pinsthree more than before. This strategic placement enhances grip around the pedal’s circumference and improves the concave feel.
The smaller, threadless tips of the metal pins provide better grip and allow for easy repositioning of feet, while also simplifying pin removal for replacements and minimizing skin damage during mishaps.
